“Al-Talhi” honors “Minissi” in recognition of his valuable community health initiative
In appreciation of his significant contribution, in recognition of his outstanding voluntary initiative, and in acknowledgment of his unlimited cooperation with the Medicine Program and the Lamset (Touch) Association team, as well as his delivery of an important educational awareness lecture on breast reconstruction after mastectomy, the Director of the Medicine Program, Dr. Jamal Al-Talhi, this morning, Wednesday, May 6, 2026, awarded a certificate of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Wassam Minissi, Visiting Consultant Plastic Surgeon from Canada, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Prof. Adel Al-Tuwati, and a group of Medicine Program leaders.
The attendees praised Dr. Minissi’s initiative, which reflects a deep sense of belonging to his homeland and its people in its finest form, by dedicating the expertise, skills, and globally acquired experience of its dedicated professionals to serve their community, leading efforts to provide support, care, and consultation in all its forms.
Dr. Wassam Minissi dedicated a full day to awareness, education, screening, and treatment, moving between the university headquarters and the university medical center, in the presence of “breast cancer warriors” who expressed their deep appreciation for this sincere national effort by Dr. Minissi and the accompanying medical team of radiology specialists
