The Libyan International University Leads the Way in the Field of Medicine and Secures National Pioneership
In line with the university’s commitment to excellence and leadership, and in its continuous efforts to enhance the skills and capabilities of its medical teams in a way that positively impacts its educational outcomes, the Libyan International University (LIU) has recently achieved a remarkable milestone.
A team nominated by the university successfully completed the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course in the Arab Republic of Egypt, under the supervision of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
During this course, the LIU delegates obtained official certification as accredited trainers by the American College of Surgeons. With this achievement, LIU becomes the only accredited center in Libya authorized to conduct ATLS courses.
The program was coordinated and followed up by Dr. Jamal Al-Tulhi, Director of the Medicine Program, and supervised by Dr. Othman Al-Tajouri, who oversaw the team’s work and coordination efforts.
This accomplishment marks yet another success added to the distinguished record of the Libyan International University — a success made possible thanks to the continuous support of Professor Dr. Mohamed Saad Embarek, President of the University.
In a related context, Dr. Othman Al-Tajouri has been officially appointed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) as the ATLS Chairperson for Libya 🇱🇾.
