Nouran, Munya, and Amal Win First Place in the Poster Competition
The Second Scientific Day of the Medicine Program was distinguished by the notable and positive participation of internship doctors.
This was clearly reflected— as highlighted in the previous post—through graduation project abstracts, lectures, oral presentations, as well as scientific posters, which effectively showcased, in structured and visual summaries, the graduation research projects of the Eleventh Cohort.
In this context, Dr. Othman Al-Tajouri, Chair of the Scientific and Preparatory Committee for the Scientific Day, stated that seventeen (17) posters representing graduation research projects of the Eleventh Cohort of the Medical Program were evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the Research and Consultation Unit.
Dr. Al-Tajouri explained that the submitted works were highly comparable in quality, particularly in terms of accuracy of information, organization, and overall excellence.
Following a thorough evaluation, the committee concluded by selecting one poster to receive the award for Best Scientific Research Poster.
The winning poster was entitled:
“Surgical Outcomes and Postoperative Complications in Patients with Acute versus Chronic Cholecystitis”
This outstanding and valuable work was conducted by the internship doctors:
• Nouran Hosni Aref
• Munya Abdullah Al-Arabi
• Amal Al-Tuwati Hamad
