Emphasizing Competency-Based Assessment

On Monday morning, October 13, 2025, the Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE) for the General Surgery course commenced at the Simulation Center of the International University. The exams were held for fifth-year medical students – first round (13th cohort).

The first day of the examinations witnessed the participation of 28 students. The exams will continue for four consecutive days as part of the clinical assessment requirements for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program.

The examinations were conducted under the supervision of a distinguished group of faculty members, the Simulation Center team, and the Study and Examination Committee, in a well-organized environment that reflects the University’s commitment to quality standards and academic excellence in medical education.

This activity comes as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to implement the latest Competency-Based Assessment methods and to ensure that its students are well-prepared to practice the medical profession with competence and responsibility
